Accessibility Statement
Last updated: March 2026
1. Our Commitment
Hadamard LLC is committed to making approval.co.uk accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
2. What We Do
We have designed and built approval.co.uk with accessibility in mind. Specifically, we ensure that:
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements on our website, including links, buttons, forms, and search fields, can be accessed and operated using a keyboard alone. Focus indicators are visible so you can see which element is currently selected.
Screen Reader Support
We use semantic HTML elements (headings, lists, landmarks, and ARIA attributes where appropriate) to ensure that screen readers can accurately interpret and convey the content and structure of our pages. Form fields have associated labels, and images have descriptive alternative text.
Colour Contrast
Text and interactive elements meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 Level AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). We do not rely on colour alone to convey information.
Alternative Text
All meaningful images on our website have descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked appropriately so they are ignored by assistive technologies.
Responsive Design
Our website is designed to work across a range of devices and screen sizes, including mobile phones, tablets, and desktop computers. Content reflows at different zoom levels up to 400% without loss of information or functionality.
Clear Language
We aim to write content in clear, plain English. Where technical or regulatory terms are necessary, we provide explanations.
3. Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, there may be areas of the website that are not yet fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Some third-party content, such as embedded Google Maps or Google review widgets, may not be fully accessible. We provide alternative text-based information where possible.
- Older PDF documents, if any are linked from our website, may not be fully accessible. We are working to ensure all documents meet accessibility standards.
We are continuously working to identify and fix accessibility issues. If you encounter any barriers, please let us know.
4. How to Report Accessibility Issues
If you experience any difficulty accessing or using our website, or if you have suggestions for improving accessibility, we would like to hear from you. Please contact us with:
- A description of the issue you encountered
- The page or feature where the issue occurred
- The device, browser, and any assistive technology you were using
We will acknowledge your report within 5 working days and aim to resolve accessibility issues as quickly as possible.
